allison adamovic, ms, LMFT

Allison’s approach to therapy is person-centered, non-judgmental, compassionate, and she acknowledges your unique experience in order to help guide you to solutions that are organic and personal.  She utilizes techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused, existentialism, psychodynamic, EMDR, narrative, Gestalt and mindfulness practices.  She is interactive, empathic, and often uses humor as a tool.  Every person’s personality, journey, and situation is unique, so Allison adapts her techniques to your individual needs.

During her clinical training, Allison worked both in the community mental health space and in private practice.  She has over six years of experience working with the cancer patient and caregiver population at Cancer Support Community South Bay, and finds it important to help her clients navigate the hurdles of our healthcare system.

Psychotherapy is Allison’s second career, as she previously worked in the film & entertainment industry.
